My Review: Masquerade is the second book in the Blue Bloods Series. Blue Bloods are Vampires who live for decades but when they reach a certain time they regenerate into new cell body’s. Some blue bloods are archangels who chooses to be Blue Bloods. Schuyler is a new Blue Blood who is half human. There is different kinds of Vampires : Blue bloods and Sliver Bloods, Sliver Bloods are angels who fall from the heaven when they chooses to side with Lucifer himself. Sliver bloods are evil and the only ones who can kill a blue bloods. Humans are called Red bloods by the blue bloods, some Red bloods know about blue bloods and even help kept them secret from the rest of the human race.
The Book starts with Schuyler and Oliver who went to Italy to find her Grandfather after her Grandmother was killed by a sliver blood in the first book. She was Told that her Grandfather knew the secrets to fight the sliver bloods.
Schuyler has this old spirit feel about her. She is young but has this wisdom and beauty about her. She Loves jack but she also has a connection with Oliver. Schuyler has urges for blood and needs a human to be hers or she could be put in a coma like her mother, and the only to do so is with Oliver but it changes things between the two.
The Book does have a weird love triangle thing going on but it’s really complicated. The Book isn’t all about love. I liked how the book wasn’t all about the love triangle but more to what the story was about, fighting the sliver bloods and why. Masquerade still has all the supernatural Twist that you got in the first book, but more intense.
The ending was a crazy ride with lots of suppresses, and huge cliffhanger that left you wanting more. Fantastic read. I really wanted to find out more on whats gonna happen between Schuyler and Jack. I just want more.
